Starting A Next.js/TypeScript Journey
Day 9 of 365 Days Consistency Challenge.

I'm a User Experience Researcher and Technical Writer, passionate about Blockchain Technology, Human Psychology, and Communications.
On the first week of July, 2025, I joined the Day One Club alongside 100+ other tech talents on a 365-day consistency challenge.
The goal was to enable me build visibility around my skills, hone my writing skills, and position myself for life-changing opportunities.
I started the journey on LinkedIn as an API Documentation writer. To solidify my knowledge of Postman and the API Lifecycle, I dedicated the first 100days to learn about Postman and APIs.
A few days into the challenge, I got a Frontend web internship role. This was a dream-come-true, because, as a Documentation Engineer, I was already familiar with using frontend web technologies and was gradually looking to transition full-time into a Frontend developer role.
This automatically means that my priorities for this challenge have changed, and I will now be more focused on solidifying my Frontend skills.
My team uses the Next.js and TypeScript stack for Web Frontend, and I haven’t used either of these technologies before.
However, for my first task, which is building a UI dashboard, I am required to use both tools.
This is an exciting yet scary opportunity. Exciting because this would be my official launch into a full-time career in Frontend web development, and scary because I am not sure how fast I can learn and apply these new tools to my assigned task, but either way, I am very positive and thrilled to take on this challenge!
I am also very thankful for an amazing and supportive team. And I trust that with a team like ours, Impossible would be a distant word for me on this journey.
I will be dedicating the Next 30 days of this challenge to learn and share my journey with these new technologies. And I will be sharing my learnings here, just to keep things low-key at the moment.
Can’t wait to see where this journey leads.
PS: If you have any tips, tricks, or resources that can help me on this journey, please do not hesitate to share.
Cheers to building with Next.js and TypeScript.😁
